Meet Chloe
Certified Diversity Executive and Senior Professional in Human Resources
A chemist turned inclusion and equity strategist, Chloe Poston is changing the narrative around diversity, equity, and inclusion work in multiple industries. A proud HBCU (Historically Black College or University) graduate, Chloe credits her time at Clark Atlanta University for teaching her the importance of representation, the power of mentorship and the impact of a supportive community. These lessons are the core tenants of her work as an expert diversity and inclusion strategist.
Since earning her doctorate from Brown University in 2013, Chloe has worked in numerous fields including federal and higher education institutions and non-profit organizations. While her career began in the laboratory, her experiences in those areas provided her with the continued motivation to become an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the STEM fields and later larger organizations.
A Certified Diversity Executive with over a decade of experience in strategic planning and implementation, Chloe identified that data is key to creating sustainable change within an organization. Combining her scientific research skills with the wealth of knowledge she has acquired throughout her professional and academic career has allowed Chloe to develop an evidence-based approach with metric driven goals. These goals are followed by readily implementable plans that include targeted results and outcomes.
Passionate about building sustainable inclusive and diverse communities, Chloe has experience implementing programs that prepare individuals from historically marginalized groups in the U.S. to thrive in their education and ultimately, careers. She places emphasis on preparing the house before inviting guests. She has developed and implemented inclusive leadership, inclusive management, and inclusive communities for executives and senior leaders. She has also coordinated and conducted training on equitable and inclusive search committees.
